How the Dream got Started

In January 2002 we had a fairytale wedding where Peter Pan and Tinkerbell Said, 'I do', next to the Eerste River, in front of beloved family and friends all dressed up as fairytale characters.

Yes, we all had to find our inner child and play a bit...

To escape for a while from your stress filled grown-up life, full of responsibilities and have a peaceful place to find your inner child and relax, while your kids or grand children play in the play house, sandpit, treehouse or occupy themselves in one of our many enchanting and surprising amenities was my main motivation to open the Green Door Fairy Garden!

The concept is unique and the first time I drove past the 150 year old Carriage house in Jamestown's main street I knew that this house, with its history, mystery and character, is where I wanted to realize the beginning of my dream and embark on my journey to create a child friendly tea and fairy garden.

We then started the on going process of restoring the main house, horse stables, storage room and the outside toilets.

That was the the birth of the Green Door Fairy Garden, where you always experience enchanting surprises and every visit is an adventure...
